About Chris

....Who exactly is this bloke then?!

I'm Chris, 63 years old, resident of Surrey for many years, married with a grown-up Son & Daughter, with two cats making up my family unit. I'm a very lucky chap, my family (including the cats) are wonderful and I can't imagine being without them.

I'm retired now, have been for a few years now, in my late-ish fifties. I worked mainly in printing & publishing for most of my career, the company I spent most years with was Reader's Digest. I had three separate spells with them, totalling 15 years. They were mainly fantastic years, I was lucky to be there at such a good period of their history during my first spell, genuinely making some friends for life.

When print & publishing dried up for me, I made a big change and worked in the Care sector for a year or so, split between two Companies. A very radical change, obviously, but I'm very glad I experienced it. More of which later in the Blog.

Unfortunately I've recently had some health issues, being diagnosed with Vasculitis last month. Not something I'd ever heard of before they told me! More of that later, also.
